Overview
Our Reservoir Officer works as part of the Headworks team which is responsible for the safe operation and maintenance of Coliban Water's reservoirs and their associated infrastructure and catchments. The role is primarily based at Lauriston Reservoir but works across the Coliban Water region at various other sites.
Barkers Creek, Lauriston, Malmsbury and Upper Coliban reservoirs provide opportunities for public recreation, including on-water recreation. These public spaces are well maintained and are a source of pride for the team and the broader organisation.
Snapshot of your day
Undertaking dam safety visual inspections on reservoirs to collect accurate data
Assisting the team to help deliver various small projects and maintenance tasks
Supervising contractors as directed by the Reservoir Controller
Conducting patrols and surveillance on Coliban Water-owned land and water storages to ensure policies, by-laws, regulations and legislation are being adhered to
Qualifications and experience
Water Industry Certificate II or a similar qualification or equivalent experience
Demonstrated experience with mechanical equipment, concreting, corrosion protection, welding, environmental management, and weed spraying
Understanding of the Victoria water industry
Salary and conditions
The salary and conditions for this position will be as per the Coliban Water Enterprise Agreement **** Band 2 (AUD 62,********,897 plus super). Salary will be offered to the successful candidate commensurate with their skills and experience.
