About the role
We have an opportunity for a Domestic Assistant to become a valued member of our Residential Aged Care team in Kelmscott. This casual position ensures facility cleanliness and provides laundry services to prevent the spread of infections and disease. The role is based in Kelmscott and involves working across our site, carrying out cleaning duties, and maintaining a safe environment for employees and residents. Responsibilities include using specialist cleaning equipment, handling chemicals safely, and upholding high hygiene standards. Effective communication with residents, visitors, and staff, respecting privacy and cultural needs, is essential. You will also report daily activities and any maintenance issues to your supervisor.
About you
You will possess a caring nature, be motivated to make a difference, and eager to join a team dedicated to improving the lives of others daily. You understand the importance of putting residents at the centre of everything we do, tailoring your work to meet their individual needs. You will ensure a safe and healthy environment and have the following experience:
* Infection Prevention and Control certificate
* Demonstrated experience in a similar role
* Strong time management and organizational skills
* Good communication skills with a wide range of people
* Understanding of safety procedures for yourself and others in the workplace
* COVID-19 and Influenza vaccinations (preferred but not required)
* National Police Clearance (obtained within the last six months)
