The role

As an Operational Capability Quartermaster, your main role will be working within a highly specialised team on the Australian Government's most sensitive technologies. The role includes establishing and managing technical assets across the entire spectrum of ASIS Operational Technologies, providing thorough asset management strategies and being a part of the capability lifecycle.

Asset Management & Record Keeping

Manage ASIS's assets by maintaining accurate records of stock holdings, equipment lifecycles, maintenance history, and through-life expenditure. The Operational Capability Quartermaster Officer will prepare reports for management, ensuring informed decision-making and effective resource allocation.

Equipment Servicing & Maintenance

This function assists with the servicing and maintenance of ASIS operational equipment, both domestically and overseas. The Operational Capability Quartermaster Officer will work closely with technical specialists to ensure equipment is in optimal condition, in alignment with ASIS's compliance and governance and in supporting ASIS's operational readiness.

The key duties of the position include:

Role responsibilities

The key responsibilities include:

· Asset management of Operational Technologies

· Administration including tracking assets, inventory, replacements and licenses

· Assisting in purchasing, contract management and providing support to finance administration teams

· Assist in the logistics chain

· Supporting administration of technologies for operational use

· Assist in the capability lifecycle including creation of new capabilities, administration of current capabilities and disposal of end-of-life capabilities

Core skills

We encourage applicants with the following skills and attributes to apply:

· Experience with Asset Management Systems

· Qualifications and/or experience in logistics, supply chain management, international relations or a related field

· Experience/familiarity with ADF and/or law enforcement technical equipment and systems

· Experience in procurement, purchasing or supply chain roles

Education and qualification requirements

The following education, qualifications and/or experience will be highly regarded:

· Defence (ADF) clerk, or logistics personnel

· Warehouse storeperson/manager, ICT Logistics or similar experience

· History of asset/supply chain management

· Hold, or able to obtain, a forklift licence

· Ability to work in a team and autonomously

· Use expertise, good judgment and in-depth knowledge of the organisation, branch, role and functions to resolve issues and queries as they arise

· Establish, enhance and promote effective client/customer and internal/external stakeholder relationships

Experience in the following would be beneficial, but not essential:

* Experience working in a technology project related field with Defence, NIC, law enforcement or related industry
* Experience working with technology across a global environment and with remote workforces.
Eligibility

To be eligible for a role you must:

· Be an Australian citizen

· Be assessed as suitable to hold and maintain a TOP SECRET-Privileged Access security clearance
