Position Overview
The role is for a Front End Developer / UI Designer located in Canberra. The position is a 12‐month initial contract with extension options, starting July. The successful candidate will work onsite for 5 days a week.
Responsibilities
* Design and implement user‐centric UI components using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
* Apply responsive design techniques and work with front‐end frameworks.
* Adhere to existing style guides and design systems.
* Collaborate with back‐end engineers and other developers to ensure cohesive design solutions.
* Advocate for usability and continuously iterate on design to improve user experience.
* Ensure accessibility standards are met.
Qualifications
* Experienced Front End Developer and UI Designer.
* Proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript and related frameworks.
* Demonstrated experience designing user interfaces within a design system.
* Strong understanding of responsive design and UI best practices.
* Australian citizenship and an active Baseline (or higher) security clearance.
Contract & Compensation
Initial 12‐month contract (July start) with extension options. Daily rate of $800–$1200 per day plus superannuation. Requires onsite presence in Canberra five days a week.
