What You'll Be Doing
The development and provision of comprehensive bereavement support, psychosocial and connected care towards and at the end of life and/or palliative care period.
This position will provide a social work service at an advanced level of clinical practice to inpatients, outpatients, their families and carers.
Candidates Will Need To Meet The Following Criteria
Tertiary qualifications or Master degree in Social Work and eligibility for the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW), including the ability to demonstrate a practical application of the AASW Code of Ethics; demonstrated experience as a Social Worker Level 2 or above.
Demonstrate extensive specialist knowledge and experience at a Level 2 in life limiting illness in inpatient and outpatient palliative care and demonstrated advanced clinical skills in comprehensive psycho-social assessments, counselling and therapeutic interventions, complex clinical casework, group work, advocacy and discharge planning.
Demonstrated ability to initiate, lead, complete and implement quality improvement and research activities and demonstrated experience in the provision of supervision of social workers and social work students.
