We are seeking to establish a pool of Library Officers for permanent and fixed-term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the **** school year.
Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.
Responsibilities
Support the day-to-day operations of the library and provision of reference, information and associated services to teaching staff and students.
Assist students and staff with selection of appropriate reading resources and supervise small groups of students in class learning activities related to the library.
Provide general clerical and library support, including preparing correspondence and booking equipment and facilities.
Maintain the resources and environment of the school library to support the learning outcomes of students.
Operate library systems to keep records up-to-date and ensure resources are accessible.
Handle enquiries and guide students and staff in using library equipment and locating library resources and information.
Run and manage a budget, including purchasing relevant stock and required licences (highly regarded).
Assist and resolve school IT projects and issues (highly regarded).
Knowledge of the Infiniti software highly desirable.
Eligibility
Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident, or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.
Obtain a valid Working With Children Check before you start.
Consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education's Screening Unit before you start.
