About the Role
We’re currently seeking a Prosthetic and Orthotic Technician to join our growing team in Warana, QLD. 
This dual role is ideal for someone with strong practical skills and a keen interest in learning the trade or with previous experience in prosthetic and orthotic fabrication. 
We’re looking for a proactive, detail-oriented individual who enjoys working both independently and as part of a collaborative team. 
You’ll work closely with our experienced clinicians and technicians to manufacture and maintain high-quality prosthetic and orthotic devices, with full support and on-the-job training provided.
Key Responsibilities
· Fabricate, repair, and maintain prosthetic and orthotic devices as per clinical specifications. 
· Apply a variety of materials and techniques, including lamination, plastic forming, metal work, and finishing. 
· Contribute to innovation and improvements in fabrication processes. 
· Troubleshoot technical challenges in collaboration with clinicians and fellow technicians. 
· Comply with workshop safety standards and procedures.
The successful applicant will have:
· Prior experience as a Prosthetic or Orthotic Technician is desirable, but not essential — applicants with strong practical skills and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply. 
· Sound knowledge of hand tools and workshop machinery. 
· Experience in fabrication methods including lamination and finishing (grinding, buffing, and sewing) is desirable; however, training will be provided for applicants keen to learn and develop these skills. 
· Strong skills and attention to detail. 
· A positive, solutions-based thinking attitude and a willingness to learn new skills and techniques. 
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
