We foster a supportive and collaborative workplace culture built on respect, integrity, and wellbeing.

Our team takes pride in making a tangible difference in the lives of our clients, while enjoying a energetic and rewarding work environment.

About the Role

We’re currently seeking a Prosthetic and Orthotic Technician to join our growing team in Warana, QLD.

This dual role is ideal for someone with strong practical skills and a keen interest in learning the trade or with previous experience in prosthetic and orthotic fabrication.

We’re looking for a proactive, detail-oriented individual who enjoys working both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

You’ll work closely with our experienced clinicians and technicians to manufacture and maintain high-quality prosthetic and orthotic devices, with full support and on-the-job training provided.

Key Responsibilities

· Fabricate, repair, and maintain prosthetic and orthotic devices as per clinical specifications.

· Apply a variety of materials and techniques, including lamination, plastic forming, metal work, and finishing.

· Contribute to innovation and improvements in fabrication processes.

· Troubleshoot technical challenges in collaboration with clinicians and fellow technicians.

· Comply with workshop safety standards and procedures.

The successful applicant will have:

· Prior experience as a Prosthetic or Orthotic Technician is desirable, but not essential — applicants with strong practical skills and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.

· Sound knowledge of hand tools and workshop machinery.

· Experience in fabrication methods including lamination and finishing (grinding, buffing, and sewing) is desirable; however, training will be provided for applicants keen to learn and develop these skills.

· Strong skills and attention to detail.

· A positive, solutions-based thinking attitude and a willingness to learn new skills and techniques.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

What OAPL can offer you:

· Supportive and inclusive team culture.

· Flexible working arrangements.

· Ongoing professional development and training opportunities.

· Company-funded parental leave.

· Access to our Employee Assistance Program (EAP).

· Staff share program and corporate travel deals.

· Commitment to work-life balance.

· Competitive salary – Based on experience level
