The Opportunity Avant Law is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our Sydney team on a full-time basis. Job sharing arrangements will also be considered. This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside some of Australia’s leading specialist medico-legal solicitors in a collaborative and supportive environment. Key Responsibilities In this role, you will provide essential support to the legal team by assisting solicitors in the management of medico-legal matters and contributing to the effective operation of the legal practice Preparing legal documentation including briefs, correspondence, subpoenas, summaries, and chronologies Managing court and tribunal filings Accessing and reviewing subpoenaed documents Liaising with witnesses, experts, court, and tribunal staff Attending court and recording detailed court notes Coordinating meetings and taking minutes Undertaking legal research Assisting with invoice processing and settled matter administration Providing general office administration and phone support About You To succeed in this role, you will have: Previous experience in a paralegal or legal administrative role(Law students currently undertaking undergraduate or postgraduate studies are encouraged to apply) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Fast and accurate typing skills, including digital dictation typing Experience drafting and formatting legal documents Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines High attention to detail Intermediate Microsoft Office skills across Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook Experience preparing and maintaining legal files Why Join Avant Law?
