About the Role
Our Federal Government Client is seeking a Business Analyst Cyber Advisor
This is a long-term contract role for 12 months with 1 x 12-month extension, located at our client's sites in ACTwith hybrid working arrangements.
Job Details:
The role is scoped at a Business Analyst level& is responsible for delivering end-user engagement, cyber training, internal communications, & knowledge uplift across the Department. This includes developing & maintaining SOPs, onboarding materials, guidance artefacts & internal messaging to help staff understand and adopt cyber-related tools & processes.
It aligns with the Australian Public Service Cyber Security Classification Framework (SCF), particularly in the areas of stakeholder engagement, secure operations management, and behavioural change.
Key duties and responsibilities
The responsibilities of the Cyber Engagement and Uplift Officer will include but not limited to:
* Supporting the delivery of cyber-related initiatives, projects, and continuous improvement activities across the Department
* Developing and maintaining cyber training materials, onboarding resources, and internal communications content
* Drafting and updating knowledge articles, SOPs, guidance notes and other artefacts used by internal cyber teams and end users
* Coordinating and facilitating cyber awareness programs, staff briefings, and targeted training exercises
* Engaging with business areas to identify communication needs, clarify requirements, and support adoption of cyber tools and processes
* Ensuring content produced by cyber operations and governance teams is translated into clear, accessible, and actionable materials
* Assisting with stakeholder engagement, coordination of cross-team activities, and general uplift of cyber understanding across the organisation
* Maintaining internal records, delivery trackers, and documentation to support consistency and auditability of uplift activities
Technical skills
It is expected that the successful candidate will:
• work under general direction within a clear framework of accountability for their area of responsibility.
• use their own discretion when resolving minor problems or external enquiries.
• has a good understanding of their own specialisation(s) in the delivery of the Services and performs routine work activities.
• would hold an undergraduate degree relevant to the area(s) of specialisation or similarly regarded qualification

Desirable criteria
1. Relevant tertiary qualifications or industry certifications.
Due to security clearance requirements for this role, candidates must be Australian citizens and ability to obtain Baseline security clearance.
