You'll report to the Senior Mining Engineer and work collaboratively to deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality blasting outcomes in a variety of geological conditions.We also welcome applications from talented Mining Engineers looking to transition into the drill and blast space—you'll be supported every step of the way.If you're looking for a dynamic role where you can build your technical capability, be part of a positive, supportive workplace, and enjoy the lifestyle perks of living by the coast, this could be the perfect next step in your career.Working a 5/2 roster, your key responsibilities in this role will include:Delivery of day-to-day outputs:Drill prep requirementsDrill pattern designsLoading/Blast exclusion mapsLoad sheetsTiming designsTie-up plansBlast reconciliationProviding technical guidance to production supervisors, hole dippers and loading contractorsCollating information into blast packsDelivery of the weekly Drill and Blast meetingSetup of blast monitoring equipmentDeveloping improvements in the Drill and Blast space to deliver good blasting outcomesAbout youKeen, passionate and positive attitudePrior experience in open cut drill and blast engineering (approx.
