The Emergency Department is seeking motivated and adaptable individuals to join their team as Emergency Clerks. As part of a dynamic 24/7 service, successful applicants will work a rotating roster that includes morning, afternoon, and night shifts to ensure consistent clerical coverage across the department.
In this vital role, you will provide essential clerical support across all Emergency Department workstations in order to contribute to the smooth flow of patient admissions, maintaining accurate records, and supporting effective communication between staff, patients, and their families. What you will bring to the role
* Experience in a frontline customer service role and the ability to effectively use problem solving and negotiation skills
* Demonstrated good written and verbal communication skills as well as strong interpersonal skills
* Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and in a multi-disciplinary team environment
* Demonstrated computer literacy including proficient keyboard and data entry skills
* Willingness and ability to work a 24 hour rotating roster with flexibility and able to work additional shifts as requested
* Ability to work under pressure in a busy and demanding environment
* Ability to organise and set work priorities to meet department benchmarks and KPIs
* Understanding of and commitment to maintaining confidentiality
