About the Role
Our Brisbane office is currently seeking to appoint a Principal Engineer – Civil with significant engineering design experience, strong communication skills and the desire to lead and mentor both local and nationally. This is a pivotal role with the Brisbane Civil team to support the successful delivery of complex high‐risk projects, provide technical expertise, develop and mentor a team.
Responsibilities
As Principal Engineer – Civil, you will manage and lead complex civil engineering design projects; mentor and develop team members; provide technical expertise across planning, design and delivery phases; collaborate with stakeholders to ensure outcomes meet safety, quality and cost targets; drive innovation and process improvement; and uphold ADG's standards of engineering excellence.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering
* Chartered member (CPEng) of the Institute of Engineers Australia
* Ideally 15+ years demonstrated experience in civil engineering
* Demonstrated experience at a senior level with strong negotiation and leadership skills
* Strong understanding of civil construction industry
* An innovative and out‐of‐the‐box attitude to solutions and designs
* Ability to critically assess, interpret and communicate information of a complex nature
* Ability to develop and mentor staff
