Job Description
We are seeking Support Workers to empower our customers to live their life, their way. Our customers come from all walks of life, and we welcome applications from candidates who share our values.
As a Support Worker, you will work alongside our customers to make decisions about their lives that help them achieve their goals. You will provide assistance with daily living activities, such as cleaning, domestic assistance, food preparation, mealtimes, medication, mobility, dressing, bathing, and other aspects of daily living.
You will also support our customers to stay social by providing companionship and emotional support. Additionally, you will transport them to-and-from appointments, the shops, or trips out with others, and provide personal care, respite, or specialized nursing or allied health supports.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide daily living assistance to customers, including cleaning, domestic assistance, food preparation, mealtimes, medication, mobility, dressing, bathing, and other activities
* Support customers to stay social through companionship and emotional support
* Transport customers to-and-from appointments, the shops, or trips out with others
* Provide personal care, respite, or specialized nursing or allied health supports
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will require:
* A Certificate III in Individual Support (or equivalent)
* Experience and training in providing Personal Care
* Availability: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday between 9am and 3pm
* National Police Clearance (obtained within the last three months)
* Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
* Current First Aid and CPR Certificates
* Current Working with Children Check
* Evidence of current Influenza vaccination
* Current certification in Provide First Aid (HLTAID011) and Provide CPR (HLTAID009)
* A willingness to travel, reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance and registration
* Previous experience in Community Care (preferable, not essential)
* Full Driver's License
