This is a development role designed for someone in the early stages of their career who wants to build real capability in technical sales within Western Australia's mining, construction, and industrial sectors.
At APS, we don't sell commodity products—we work with customers to deliver fit‐for‐purpose lighting, radar, and safety system solutions across demanding environments.
You'll start by building strong product and customer knowledge internally, before progressing into field‐based customer engagement and site visits across WA, including regional and mining locations.

About the Role
This is a hands‐on, multi‐functional role that blends technical learning, customer support, and sales development.
You will work closely with our internal team and customers to understand applications, recommend solutions, and support projects from enquiry through to delivery.
Key responsibilities
* Prepare and follow up quotes and customer enquiries
* Support technical product selection (lighting, radar, safety systems)
* Assist with customer projects, proposals, and presentations
* Work alongside senior team members on key accounts and opportunities
* Build product and application knowledge across APS product range
* Provide high‐quality customer service and support
* Progress into field‐based customer visits across WA, including regional travel
* Support internal operations where required (team‐first environment)

What we're looking for
* 1–5 years experience in sales, customer service, or a technical support role
* Strong communication skills and attention to detail
* A genuine interest in technical products and problem‐solving
* A proactive, team‐first attitude
* Willingness to travel across WA as the role develops
* Driver's licence
Highly regarded (but not essential)
* Exposure to mining, construction, automotive, or industrial sectors
* Trade, technical, or engineering‐related background

This role is based in Wangara, WA.
Regional travel will be required as you progress in the role.
