About the Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity to join the CAMHS Eating Disorders Service as a Clinician (Psychologist/OT/Social Worker) where you will be responsible for:
* Delivering specialist child and adolescent mental health care to consumers with eating disorder needs.
* The provision of assessment, education, counselling and group work.
* Undertake discipline specific assessments when required to ensure optimal understanding of the presenting mental health/eating disorder issue.
* Act as a consultant and resource person to CAMHS, other agencies and the community by providing information and education regarding child, adolescent and family mental health eating disorders.
* Promote access and equity of services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and young people and their families.
* The role will provide outreach at CAMHS community team sites such as Elizabeth, Port Adelaide and Enfield.
About You
* You must hold an appropriate Degree or equivalent qualification.
* Excellent communication skills to communicate and work with other professionals, facilitate group functions and work as a team member.
* Clinical experience in the treatment and management of complex child and adolescent mental health issues, including eating disorders.
* Demonstrated knowledge of the theory and practice of clinical work within your discipline, including group work.
* Knowledge of developmental theory and the mental and physical impact of eating disorders on the individual and the family unit.
