The role
As an OT, you will provide assessment and intervention in home and community environments. Typical work includes:
* Functional capacity assessments and goal based therapy
* Assistive technology assessment, trials, and reports including low risk and complex items
* Home safety assessments and minor home modification recommendations
* Skill building for ADLs and IADLs including sensory and executive functioning supports
* Clear reports and progress updates for NDIS plans
* Collaboration with participants, families, support coordinators, and allied health colleagues
What you will need
* Current NDIS Commission registration as a Behaviour Support Practitioner
* Relevant qualifications/experience in disability, psychology, counselling, social work, or related fields
* Strong understanding (or developing knowledge) of Positive Behaviour Support and NDIS requirements
* AHPRA registration
* NDIS Worker Screening Check
* Working With Children Check
* Current First Aid and CPR
* Police Check within 6 months
* Driver licence and reliable insured vehicle
* Experience with NDIS functional assessments and AT is desirable
