Payroll Governance Manager
The business is seeking a dynamic and motivated Payroll Governance Manager to oversee payroll compliance and adherence to internal policies, processes, and legislation.
Reporting to the Head of Payroll and overseeing eight staff members, you will be responsible for ensuring the company meets its responsibilities and accountabilities while managing risks and leading key governance initiatives.
Responsibilities
Enhancing payroll governance to ensure compliance with internal policies and processes and with legislation.
Identifying, assessing and managing risks and issues that could affect the company's ability to meet its responsibilities.
Leading the monthly Payroll Governance Steering Committee where key issues, risks and award interpretation changes are discussed and agreed.
Providing guidance, suggesting improvements, and leading rectification projects and system deployments for payroll governance.
Ideal Candidate
Previous experience in payroll management and across payroll governance and compliance.
Effective time-management and organisational skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to meet deadlines and work effectively within a team environment.
Sound analytical and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of payroll processes, taxation, superannuation and payroll tax legislation.
