The Role
ALS Geochemistry is seeking an experienced
Maintenance Supervisor
to join our sample preparation facility in
Wangara
.
This
Full-Time position
offers an opportunity to hone your people skills by supervising a small, established team of technicians with genuine people and a great culture. You will also run a successful maintenance department in a busy sample preparation facility.
The day to day
Responsibilities include:
* Supervision of a small maintenance team including scheduling work to meet demands
* Provide and take leadership responsibility in health, safety, and environmental management
* Ensuring work is carried out to a high safety standard
* Identify and mitigate risk prior to work commencing, communicate with and engage relevant stakeholders to control risk and contribute to building a risk management culture
* Liaising directly with production supervisors, facility management and external contractors and suppliers
* Purchasing and maintaining stock levels of machine/component consumable stock levels
The Essentials
The successful candidate will possess the following skills and abilities:
* A high commitment to Safety
* Relevant Trade certificate preferably
* Current drivers' license (A class) manual
* Knowledge and skills in other trades, or a desire to learn.
* The ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision
* Excellent work ethic
* A can-do attitude
* Drive and ability to develop and lead a team of maintenance staff.
* Ability to communicate across all levels
* Proven ability to handle a diverse workload
