This role provides efficient and effective support to the Operating Theatre (OT).
The Team
* The NWRH Theatre is a vibrant, supportive team consisting of four operating theatres providing Orthopaedics, Gynaecology, General Surgery, ENT, Endoscopy and dental services.
* NWRH Theatre is committed to a positive workplace culture, and excellent clinical care within a supportive environment.
* Standard working hours are a variety of shifts between the hours of 0800 and 2130 seven days a week and an on‐call service overnight.
The Role
This role offers a unique opportunity to work within a dynamic operating theatre environment, with exposure to complex patient care and access to ongoing educational development. You will work in a supportive multidisciplinary environment on a rotating 7‐day roster, including morning and afternoon shifts. On‐the‐job training is provided and salary packaging is available.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and set up operating theatres with equipment and consumables.
* Safely transport and assist patients within all areas of the operating theatre suite.
* Support surgical teams and set up and manage theatre equipment in line with surgical requirements.
* Maintain strict hygiene, infection control standards, and patient confidentiality at all times.
Details of Appointment
Multiple fixed‐term, casual positions working as and when required, commencing as soon as possible for approximately 24 months. Hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Salary
$67,193 to $72,126 per annum (pro‐rata). The employer contributes 12% superannuation on top of this amount.
* Salary range is in accordance with the Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022.

Qualifications
* Certificate III in Health Services Assistance (Operating Theatre Technician Specialisation) – desirable.
* Certificate IV in Operating Theatre Technical Support – desirable.
