Here's what you'll need
Jacobs is seeking a motivated Principal Technical Leader to join our dynamic APAC Transmission and Distribution team in Australia.
As Technical Leader for Transmission Lines, you'll spearhead planning, design, and construction of cutting-edge overhead transmission line projects across Australia.
You'll have quality control and process improvement oversight, the opportunity to be involved in thought leadership initiatives, including industry engagement, contributing to our technical community of practice in the APAC region.
With a focus on client management and development, this role offers a unique blend of technical and commercial elements to advance your career.

This opportunity would suit an experienced Transmission Lines expert, looking to continue their career development in a global company.
Lead complex transmission line projects from conception to completion, establishing design criteria and methodologies for project teams.
Undertake design activities associated with the planning, design and construction of overhead Transmission Lines.
Support the technical reviews of deliverables, attend and participate in project and client meetings.
Provide technical leadership and direction to project teams on the design of overhead Transmission Lines, manage technical risks and mentor local and global engineering teams to enable the delivery of design packages.
Drive business growth through proposal development and client engagement, finding innovative solutions, championing value and sustainability.
What You'll Bring
Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil or Structural Engineering.
Working knowledge of the PLS software suite to perform design and review work.
Understanding of AS/NZS, Client SDMs, ASCE, IEEE and IEC codes and guidelines.
Extensive experience in transmission line engineering and project delivery.
Proven track record in managing large, multidisciplinary projects.
Open communication style with project leadership skills and the ability to work across geographies.
Technically innovative with a focus on continuous improvement.
