About the role: We are looking for an energetic and motivated Wok Cook to join our team, with at least 2 years of experience with extensive Asian culinary Wok cooking. Joining Norths Cammeray means you are part of Norths Collective which includes The Greens North Sydney, The Alcott Lane Cove, The Verandah Beecroft, Seagulls Tweed Heads and The Bowlo Bangalow. Your Key Priorities will be to: Overseeing the preparation, cooking and presentation of food Assisting the Head Chef and Sous Chef where required Financial performance by maintaining proper portion and stock control to keep food costs down Creating tasting menus notes to provide to floor staff when changing the menu Maintaining clean and orderly workspaces Hygiene and food safety of the highest level in accordance with food safety guidelines and Club policies and procedures Actively driving and supporting a range of Work, Health and Safety Compliance activities Directing and supporting those in your team Training of junior kitchen team members demonstrated through policies and procedures and all training courses offered by Norths Collective Maintain effective communication with all key stakeholders The Candidate: At least 2 years of experience at the Wok station and working under pressure in a fast paced and high volume kitchen Understanding strict health and hygiene standards and Workplace Health & Safety legislation Experience in food quality control Capability to work a rotating roster that includes days, nights, weekends and public holidays Passionate about producing great tasting, looking quality food Our Benefits: Dynamic, energised, management team that is embracing change and focused on success Free gym membership at Norths Fitness Work for a Club that continues to reinvent its relevancy to its local community If you would like to bring your passion for food to an innovative and expanding hospitality group, please apply now!
