Non-Executive Director Opportunity
We are seeking an individual to join our board as a non-executive director. Our organisation has been serving the community for over 70 years, with a dedicated team of staff and management working towards empowering people with disabilities to live rich and meaningful lives.
The successful candidate will be responsible for contributing to the overall strategic direction of the organisation, working closely with management to set strategies that drive growth and success. Key responsibilities include:
* Providing governance expertise and support to the board;
* Assisting in setting organisational goals and objectives;
* Collaborating with other board members to drive decision-making and progress;
* Representing the organisation's interests and values within the community;
Qualifications and experience we are looking for include:
* A commitment to community service and the not-for-profit sector;
* An understanding of operating in regional areas and an ability to relate to diverse stakeholders;
* Experience in governance and leadership roles; and
* A willingness to help grow and develop the organisation in a sustainable way.
Appointment terms include monthly board meetings, usually conducted via teleconference, with occasional in-person meetings held in Lismore NSW. While living or working in the area is preferred, it is not essential. Appointment terms are for 3 years, with the option for further extensions.
