About the Role
This role is focused on elevating the site from a traditional maintenance approach to a more proactive, reliability-led operation. You'll take ownership of building structure, systems, and strategy, while also supporting a site that is continuing to evolve operationally. There is a strong need for someone who can balance hands‐on involvement with strategic thinking, particularly in the early phase of the role. Working closely with operations, engineering, and external suppliers, you'll be instrumental in setting the site up for sustainable performance. Regional Victoria location – relocation support available.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and implement a reliability and asset management strategy
* Transition the site towards planned and preventative maintenance practices
* Build and embed maintenance systems, planning, and processes
* Lead, coach, and develop a small maintenance team
* Manage OEM and supplier relationships
* Provide hands‐on support as required, particularly during key operational phases
* Oversee a diverse asset base including processing equipment, automation systems, and site infrastructure
* Drive continuous improvement and long-term asset performance
Ideal Candidate Experience
* Food or FMCG manufacturing environments
* Strong technical capability across mechanical, electrical, and automation systems
* Experience in improving reliability and maintenance frameworks
* Proven leadership experience managing maintenance or reliability teams
* A balance of hands‐on capability and strategic mindset
* Experience working with CMMS platforms
* Ability to operate effectively in an evolving, fast‐paced environment
