Gather on Gap, restaurant and Bar, is serving Multi Cousine food that is rich, plentiful, and meticulously prepared. We carefully blend spices with aromatic herbs which imparts heavenly flavours to our dishes. We have strived to create an ambience in our restaurant that can do a justice to such a delicious food.
We are seeking multiple Chefs to complement our kitchen team with an immediate start on a full-time basis. An ideal candidate should hold a minimum of diploma in a culinary field, or equivalent experience as a Chef. Salary range offered is $75,000 to $80,000 plus super.
We need Chefs for our Alice Springs NT restaurant. The roles are open to local residents as well as overseas culinary professional. Sponsorship can be considered for the selected overseas Chef/s.
Duties and responsibilities for the role are as follows:
* Lead the kitchen operations by example Maintain work schedule for kitchen staff to ensure smooth flow of activities Cook and present signature dishes as well as diet specific meals as per the order in a timely manner and ordering sequence Create menus to produce a leading edge in the market and enhance success of the brand
* Trial and present new dishes to variate menus based on season, popularity, and cost price
* Create new methods and recipes in preparation of meals
* Maintain good relationship with customers and suppliers, and resolve any issues Oversee kitchen budget, including supplies ordering, supervising food and labour costs, and wastage control methods
* Ensure kitchen safety, sanitation practices and regulatory compliance is maintained Ensure that the restaurant keeps up with new trends in the industry
* Hire, train, and performance manager kitchen staff
