As a Senior Occupational Therapist (Supervisory), you will be responsible for providing leadership and clinical supervision to school-based occupational therapists in the delivery of safe, effective high-quality services to support children and students to access and fully participate in their learning in an inclusive education system.
This position is being offered in a Permanent Part-Time capacity (0.20FTE), 15.2 hours per fortnight.

The location of the Central Office (State Wide) position will be negotiated with the successful applicant. Future positions in regions are attached to regional offices in the respective regions. Locations may be negotiable for the successful candidates within each region.
Applications will be held for 12 months, and this recruitment process may be used to fill any subsequent permanent or temporary vacancies in the above regions or Central Office (state wide) within 12 months of the advertised closing date.
Responsibilities include:
* Identify and respond to professional, organisational and personal learning needs of school based occupational therapists through leadership and clinical supervision aligned with the HP4 Senior Occupational Therapy (Supervisory) role description and Clinical Governance Framework
* Direct and support school based occupational therapists, school management teams and regional services in assessing occupational therapy needs, responses and interventions to support student outcomes
* Collaborate with occupational therapy and regional leadership teams to identify and respond to common issues impacting occupational therapy services in education in line with regional departmental priorities through innovative and data driven solutions
* Monitor and report on workload management, wellbeing and performance across occupational therapy services within your region.
The statewide role will have a wider focus. In addition to the above responsibilities, this role will comprise statewide supervisory tasks, including (but not limited to) involvement in planning statewide induction and group supervision, and planning for statewide professional development activities.
About You:
* Demonstrated knowledge and experience in providing clinical supervision, capability development or mentoring of other health professionals or undergraduate students, or the ability to rapidly acquire these skills.
* Demonstrated ability to build relationships and collaborate with supervisees, senior therapy staff, regional, central and school leadership and teams through effective communication skills.
