ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a driven and customer focused Sales Executive to join our Industrial team based in Darwin, Northern Territory. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, love the thrill of the chase, and want to work with real assets and real people – this is the role for you.
In this role you will be driving sales growth by building and maintaining long-term business relationships with clients ranging from owner operators to large organisations who are looking to sell or auction their transport, construction, earthmoving & agricultural equipment or machinery through Pickles. The successful candidate will be tasked with supporting our NT region. In addition to this you will see yourself:
* Develop new business opportunities for Pickles and maintaining existing relationships.
* Drive new business through cold calling, and following up on leads from existing clients to source trucks, machinery and other stock for sale or auction. Walk into an existing territory full of qualified accounts ready to transact.
* Conduct effective in person/online meetings with our clients to help provide solutions.
* Step out in the field to inspect trucks and machinery.
* Enjoy flexible working arrangements, ranging from being out with clients, working from home, or from our multiple branch locations.
ABOUT YOU
To be successful in this role, you will need to have the following skills and experience:
* Proven experience in sales and new business development.
* Knowledge of transport, construction, earthmoving & agricultural equipment is desirable but not essential.
* Ability to use a CRM system to identify existing and new opportunities.
* Outstanding customer service, time management and solutions focused skills.
* High level interpersonal skills and ability to build and maintain relationships with clients.
* Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently – you will be working closely with other departments to ensure assets are prepared for auction as well as working your region to source assets.
