Medical Officer Opportunity
This role combines office, donor centre, and home-based work. The successful candidate must be available to attend the office and donor centres regularly (each week). This exciting role is responsible for providing medical guidance to optimise donor, recipient and blood component safety, in conjunction with medical specialists within a national team.
* The role works closely with medical specialists, nurses and administrative staff and liaises with scientists and other technical staff.
* Flexible working hours including evenings and weekend shifts will be required following a training period.
* There will also be the opportunity to participate in research to support medical policy development.
The role reports to the Lead Medical Officer and is part of a national team.
Key Requirements:
* At least 2 years' clinical experience
* Current full registration with a relevant governing body
* Demonstrated ability to collaborate and communicate clearly and effectively with all internal and external stakeholders
* Proven ability to work independently and in diverse cross functional teams
* High level of competence in use of information technology, including MS Office, and ability to rapidly acquire proficiency in use of databases, use of telephony related applications, and utilisation of an intranet.
