About Your Opportunity
As the Senior Database Administrator, you will primarily be responsible for the on‐going rollout, support, development, maintenance, and administration of the LabWare Mobile Database and for supporting other operational databases as required. As the LabWare Mobile Administrator, you will maintain the configuration of the application to ensure the integrity, reliability and performance of the database. You will lead requirements gathering and solution‐design workshops with stakeholders and external consultants, provide technical inputs in solution design, and implement new functionality/upgrades following a strict change‐management protocol.
This Role Is Responsible For
* Leading the configuration, management and administration of operational static data within LabWare, including mobile device management, sampling points, tests, limits and programmes
* Leading the configuration, management and administration of operational visual workflows (dashboards) within LabWare
* Delivering remote technical support for LabWare Mobile users, efficiently troubleshooting software defects, hardware failures and connectivity issues to minimise operational downtime
* Developing standard operating procedures, delivering end‐user training and providing on‐site go‐live support to facilitate smooth system deployments and user adoption
* Gathering and analysing LabWare Mobile end‐user feedback to identify improvement opportunities and leading continuous improvement projects that optimise workflows and system functionality
* Leading the planning, validation and implementation of system version upgrades, adhering to change‐management controls and governance standards to ensure stable production environments
* Observing and complying with all Seqwater work health and safety, quality and environmental management systems and procedures
* In all duties, complying with the behavioural expectations set out in The Way We Work (Seqwater's Code of Conduct) and with our policies and procedures
Appointment and Eligibility
Appointment to this role is subject to the provision of a national police check and may be subject to other medical/character requirements. People with criminal records are not automatically deemed ineligible; each application will be considered on its merits.
About You
* Tertiary qualification in science (computer, biological, chemical or environmental sciences) or a relevant engineering discipline
* Strong demonstrated experience with database management and protocol development, including data manipulation, analysis and writing intermediate‐level SQL queries
* Knowledge of operational water treatment plant laboratory processes and the quality assurance and quality systems principles and practices
Remuneration and Contract
This position has a salary range of $132,746 – $145,422 (dependent on experience) plus 12.75% superannuation and is a two‐year maximum term contract with the possibility of becoming permanent.
