About the Role
Formed in 1882, Royal Prince Alfred Hospital (RPAH) is a major metropolitan tertiary referral hospital and a principal provider of specialist healthcare. It remains one of the nation's most respected hospitals, with a distinguished history serving the health needs of local, statewide, national and international communities.
The primary purpose of the role is to manage both incoming and outgoing calls at a major hospital, as well as perform paging of emergency groups e.g. cardiac arrest and trauma groups. This role also requires to perform routine clerical duties, provide an effective, efficient, timely and courteous service to patients, visitors, the public and staff.
Positions Available:
* 1 x Permanent Full Time
* 1 x Permanent Part Time; 20 hours per week - Nightshift Operator with the occasional dayshift as required.

Ideal Candidate
* Able to work on a 24/7 rotating roster, demonstrating a flexible work attitude.
* Has experience assisting the public, staff and clients in a high volume environment with the ability to provide assistance in a polite, clear, well-spoken and calm manner in all circumstances.
* Well-developed interpersonal, customer service and communication skills, both written and verbal.
