A Federal Government client is seeking to engage a Procurement & Contracts Officer on a 12-month contract with potential extension.
**Position Overview**
The APS6 Procurement Officer (Labour Hire) is a team membership position requiring leadership and management responsibilities, prioritizing tasks and managing workloads.
This role provides detailed technical, professional, policy, operational support and advice related to complex problems. It coordinates and assists in strategic planning, program and project management, and policy development that supports the National Disability Insurance Scheme's objectives.
Responsibilities include:
* Collaborating with NDIA business areas as a procurement business partner to establish methodologies, preparing procurement documentation, evaluating tenders, and negotiating contracts.
* Managing and undertaking procurement reporting and verification activities, processing procurements through the financial management system.
* Maintaining and implementing procurement and contract management policies, procedures, and frameworks.
* Contributing to procurement planning within the wider Procurement Team and across the Agency.
* Providing specialist procurement advice ensuring NDIA procurement activities align with legislative requirements, Commonwealth Procurement Rules, and NDIA Procurement Policy to deliver value for money outcomes contributing to better social and economic outcomes for people with disability.
* Providing quality and timely advice to internal and external stakeholders, including guidance and reporting to Branch Leadership and Executive Leadership Team.
* Monitoring and progressing work area activities to achieve work area objectives, ensuring consistent and high-quality outputs, and maintaining team cohesion.
