Ensuring timely access to the most appropriate healthcare services, including general medical practice, nursing, drug and alcohol support, and allied health services. Delivering care that respects and acknowledges the dignity, culture, values, beliefs, and rights of detainees. The Registered Nurse Primary Health will: Work in collaboration with the primary health care team to ensure a multidisciplinary, coordinated and integrated approach to service delivery. Participate in the assessment, planning and implementation of care based on individual detainee needs incorporating a holistic approach to primary health care service delivery. Undertake a wide range of clinical duties including but not limited to immunisations, blood collection, wound dressings, health assessments, care planning, medication administration, health promotion and education etc, ensuring care is evidence-based and delivered using clinical guidelines and practice to underpin competency. Provide proficient, evidence-based chronic disease management. Ensure participation in relevant training and professional development for supporting high quality nursing. About you: At least five (5) years of clinical experience as a Registered Nurse, including hands-on patient care in an operational setting (non-Telehealth-only) Knowledge and understanding in evidence-based chronic disease management General unrestricted registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) Veterans are encouraged to apply.
