Legal Secretary Position

We are seeking an experienced Legal Secretary to join our team. The successful candidate will have strong experience in a legal secretary role, preferably within a Wills & Estates practice.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills, as well as a demonstrated ability to work efficiently as part of a team.

This is a full-time position offering collaboration with experienced professionals and further development of legal secretarial skills.


About the Role

* Assist with all aspects of Wills and Estates, including preparation of Wills, EPOA's and associated estate planning documents.
* Word processing, typing and collating correspondence and other documents.
* Digital dictation when required.
* Attending to file opening, preparing cost letters and archiving of files once completed.
* Generating trust and office receipts and cheque requisition.
* Effectively managing and maintaining calendars, monitoring client timeframes and providing reminders as necessary.


Responsibilities

* Prepare and process various legal documents, including Wills and Estate Planning documents.
* Provide administrative support to lawyers and other staff members.
* Maintain accurate records and files, both physical and electronic.
* Communicate effectively with clients, lawyers and other stakeholders.
* Develop and maintain a high level of knowledge of legal terminology, principles and procedures.


Qualifications

The successful candidate will have:

* A strong background in legal secretarial work.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Able to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
* Familiarity with digital dictation software and other relevant systems.
* Able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
