Employment type : Permanent and Temporary (12 Months) -Full-time or Part-time (4 days available)
Salary :
* Psychologist : $79,592 – $118,316 pa.
* Specialist Psychologist : $114,016 - $139,824 pa
* Plus environmental allowance, employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading
We're hiring passionate psychologists to deliver targeted psychological services within the Custody Based Sex Offender Programs unit.

We are seeking skilled and compassionate psychologists to work with men who have been convicted of sexual offences as part of evidence‑based behaviour change programs in corrective services.
At Custody‑Based Sex Offender Programs you will collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary team within the custodial environment. You'll lead comprehensive, group‑based programs designed to promote lasting behaviour change, while also supporting reintegration planning through close coordination with both internal teams and external partners.

Your role
As a Psychologist or Specialist Psychologist, you will deliver structured, trauma‑informed psychological services specifically within the sex offenders program for individuals in custody at MSPC, tailored to your role and area of expertise.
You will :
* Co‑facilitate group‑based behaviour change programs within a custodial therapeutic community
* Conduct psychological assessments and individual interventions that support the group programs
* Provide expert consultation to staff on mental health, trauma, and risk (including sexual and violent offender assessment)
* Collaborate on behaviour support and case planning
Maintain accurate documentation in OIMS and psychology files
Prepare reports and provide input to statutory bodies (e.g. Parole Authority, Mental Health Review Tribunal)
Participate in ongoing training, supervision, and networking opportunities
What You Bring
* Full registration with the Psychology Board of Australia
* Interest in trauma‑informed practice, cognitive impairment, forensic risk, or behaviour change
* A strong ethical foundation and commitment to evidence‑based practice
* Effective communication and teamwork skills
* NSW Driver Licence and willingness to travel as required
