The role
The Administration Officer Stores is required to assist with stores operations and related administration tasks for the correctional centre including reception of prisoners.
- Manage delivery, collection and issue of stock
- Process and monitor the acquittance and receipt of stores
- Reconcile deliveries and investigate anomalies
- Maintain an efficient recording system of inward and outward consignment
- Contribute to quality control, hygiene and security of stores and storage facilities
- Process internal requisitions for stock items
- Monitor outstanding purchase orders for receipt of goods and services
- Maintain centre's computerised stock control inventory, records and system
- Stock take and warehouse processes
- Assist with the unloading of trucks
- Assist in the ordering and issue of corporate wardrobe
- Accounts payable
- Place and process orders through external suppliers of stores and general supplies
- Liaise with external providers
- Manage the reception of prisoners into the Centre
- Process prisoner property upon reception including valuables
- Issue identification cards
- Allocate prisoners to accommodation units and rooms
- Issue clothing, bedding and other reception items to prisoners
- Provide prisoners with initial reception allocation (buyup)
- Liaise with other centres regarding missing prisoner property
- Undertake audits of prisoner property as required
- Operate and maintain the centre's prisoner canteen
- Perform sales to prisoner services as required
