Overview
We are looking for a skilled Fortinet Network Engineer (L2) to join our team in Perth, Australia. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in network operations, troubleshooting, firewall management, and enterprise network support.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide L2 support for enterprise network infrastructure and security environments
* Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Fortinet firewalls and security solutions
* Monitor network performance and resolve incidents within defined Las
* Support routing, switching, VPNs, LAN/WAN, and wireless environments
* Troubleshoot network outages and coordinate with internal teams for resolution
* Perform firewall policy changes, upgrades, patching, and maintenance activities
* Work on incident management, root cause analysis, and documentation
* Participate in on-call support and critical issue handling when required
Required Skills & Experience
* Strong hands-on experience with Fortinet Firewalls (FortiGate)
* Experience in routing and switching technologies
* Knowledge of VPN technologies, LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP
* Experience with wireless technologies and network monitoring tools
* Understanding of network security concepts and troubleshooting methodologies
* Experience working in enterprise support environments
* Relevant certifications like NSE / Network Security certifications are preferred
Preferred Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in IT, Networking, or related field
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
* Ability to work independently in fast-paced environments
