We are passionate about championing changes to state and council laws to benefit the public & neighbourhoods alike. We are looking for a like-minded individual, who is also enthusiastic about the power of urban planning and design, to join our diverse team.

About the Role
You will manage planning applications with minimal supervision and provide sound professional advice across a range of statutory matters.
Key responsibilities include:
* Working within a collaborative team
* Managing and assessing a caseload of statutory planning applications
* Interpreting and applying the Victorian Planning Scheme, including zones, overlays and State and Local policy
* Preparing high-quality assessment reports and recommendations
* Providing clear advice to applicants, consultants and internal stakeholders
* Negotiating outcomes to resolve planning issues
* Contributing to timely and defensible decisions
About You
You will have:
* A minimum of 5 years' experience in statutory planning (local government or consultancy)
* A degree in Urban Planning, Town Planning or equivalent
* Strong knowledge of the Victorian Planning Provisions
* The ability to work independently and exercise professional judgement
* The ability to work with a team of planners and wider multi-disciplinary group
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Strong organisational and coordination skills
* A practical, solutions-focused approach to development assessment
