Job Description
As a Support Worker / Mentor, you will support teenagers to build confidence, social skills, and independence through structured group activities and community outings.
Key Responsibilities
* Support young people in group and community-based activities
* Act as a positive role model and mentor
* Encourage social interaction and confidence building
* Assist with structured programs and outings
* Maintain a safe, engaging, and supportive environment
Client Preference
Due to the age of participants and the nature of the program, clients have expressed a preference for a female support worker in the early to late 20s age group, who can relate well to them and support positive peer engagement.
About You
* Female applicant (client preference)
* Ideally in your early to late 20s
* Experience working with young people or in disability support (preferred)
* Energetic, reliable, and approachable
* Confident engaging with teenagers
* Strong communication skills
Requirements
* NDIS Worker Screening Check
* Working With Children Check
* Driver's licence and reliable vehicle
* Full licence required for driving duties
* Right to work in Australia
Shift Details
* Casual position
* Tuesday, Thursday & Saturday
* Availability for all three days is mandatory
* 10:00am – 2:00pm
