What you will be doing
SUEZ is in the process of refreshing it strategy both globally and locally and is rapidly growing our fleet of managed digital water meters, IoT networks, associated software and services.
Our Smart Metering business is pioneering the digital water revolution to utilities across the world. Our proprietary market-leading platform provides a wide range of real-time tools and data analysis techniques to support smart water networks. Our Victorian business is now looking to appoint a Project Manager Smart Metering with sound knowledge of digital water meters and IoT networks, and the associated software and services, to achieve success for Suez, our clients and partners.
Based out of either Ballarat or Melbourne, you will oversee the procurement, delivery, maintenance, operation, and renewal of digital assets across both new and existing infrastructure. It includes managing digital metering projects throughout the entire contract lifecycle—from supply chain coordination to planning, design, and implementation of client solutions. You will contribute to the development of a smart sensor's strategy, including smart sewer initiatives, and lead pilot projects to test emerging technologies. The position requires providing technical expertise on digital metering projects, ensuring compliance with the organization's quality systems for safety, risk management, records management, design, environmental protection, and project and contract management. Additionally, you will engage and manage internal and external stakeholders to secure timely approvals, deliver monthly project reports, schedules, and financial updates.
Who we are looking for
You hold a completed degree in engineering (Civil or electrical) or science. Your resume can demonstrate experience as a Project Manager in Digital metering and IOT, ideally within an innovation focussed technology company, engineering business or utility.
You work collaboratively and effectively in a team environment and can adapt to changing priorities, bringing a high level of professionalism and integrity to everything you do. Recognised industry qualifications in Project Management will be highly regarded.
You currently reside in Melbourne (or Ballarat). It is expected you can travel to our client site in Ballarat a minimum of once per fortnight for a minimum of 2 days.
