Job Description
Every day brings a steady flow of inbound web enquiries, and you'll be the one picking them up, interpreting what the client needs and turning them around into accurate quotes. You'll read pricing lists, understand the product range and make sure requests are complete by contacting clients to fill in any gaps. You'll also step into tender preparation, supporting submissions ranging from straightforward packages to more detailed proposals. It's a hybrid role that blends customer interaction, commercial thinking and technical understanding, with plenty of support as you grow your capability.
* Handle incoming sales inquiries and provide tailored solutions to clients.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to ensure satisfaction.
* Prepare and follow up on quotes and proposals in a timely manner.
* Collaborate with internal teams to meet customer requirements and expectations.
* Maintain accurate records of sales and customer interactions in the CRM system.
* Identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell products and services.
* Provide prompt and professional responses to client queries and concerns.
* Assist in achieving team sales targets and contribute to overall business growth.
The Successful Applicant
You'll come from an inside or internal sales background ideally and feel comfortable working with pricing, product information and customers who expect quick, clear communication. You're the type who doesn't sit back waiting for detail - you pick up the phone, ask the right questions and make things happen. Experience from the hire industry or a similar technical environment would be ideal, but attitude, curiosity and the ability to learn fast will matter just as much.
* Experience in customer service or sales, preferably in the industrial/manufacturing industry.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Proficiency in using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
* A proactive and results-driven approach to achieving sales targets.
* Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
* Excellent organisational and time management skills.
