About the role
Join Western Health's Mental Health and Wellbeing Division in a pivotal role at the Women's Yanna Yanna PARC. This 12‐bed, women‐only facility offers a unique environment where up to three dependent children can stay with their mothers during recovery.
You will deliver high‐quality, consumer‐centered psychological care through both individual and group sessions. This is an opportunity to provide brief, transdiagnostic interventions that directly support women's short‐term rehabilitation and mental health goals. You will work within a dedicated multidisciplinary team, contributing to service development and continuous improvement in a system recently transformed by the Royal Commission.
Key responsibilities
* Deliver evidence‐based psychological assessments and brief therapeutic interventions for women with various mental health concerns.
* Facilitate both one‐to‐one and group therapy sessions tailored to consumer recovery goals.
* Provide secondary consultation to families, carers, and other specialist service providers.
* Collaborate actively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure integrated, high‐quality care.
* Participate in service development, clinical research, and quality improvement activities.
About you
* Postgraduate degree (Master's or higher) in Clinical Psychology.
* Current general registration as a Psychologist with AHPRA.
* Area of Practice Endorsement in Clinical Psychology.
* Experience in public mental health settings, including working with diverse populations and providing gender‐sensitive care.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a compassionate, recovery‐focused approach.
