Job Title: Control Systems Engineer
We are seeking an experienced Control Systems Engineer to join our client's team at their state-of-the-art automated manufacturing facility in Melbourne.
Responsibilities:
* Lead control system upgrade projects, including management and coordination of external providers.
* Support third-party contractors with larger plant upgrades, ensuring consistent application of site standards.
* Participate in breakdown rectification activities and maintenance program reviews, providing insight into the control systems architecture and program logic.
* Mentor production team engineers to enhance their ability to independently resolve equipment faults.
* Develop and implement standards and policies for efficient work practices across the site.
* Provide guidance and oversight for electrical equipment, installations, and compliance across the site.
Requirements:
* Bachelor Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechatronic or related discipline).
* 5+ Years experience with automated manufacturing facilities.
* Proficiency in programming PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systems, including industry standards and safety regulations.
* Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.
* Strong problem-solving skills using root cause analysis tools.
Desirable Skills:
* Familiarity with Lean and 6 Sigma.
* Familiarity with Ignition SCADA.
* Experience working in a Defence environment.
* Experience working in hazardous environments or with dangerous goods storage and handling.
