About the role
We are seeking a full-time permanent Gardener to join our team of committed and passionate professionals. In this role, you will provide a range of high-quality gardening services to older people living in their own homes in the south-western metropolitan community.
Key gardening duties include (but are not limited to):
* Basic landscaping to ensure safety of clients
* Lawn mowing
* Tree & shrub pruning and weeding
* Removing of garden rubbish
* Basic irrigation
* Basic planting
* Eliminating pests
* Smoke alarm checks
* Gutter cleaning
This role suits people with excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and a flexible approach. You will build lasting, trust-based relationships with clients, their families, and your team.
About You
We are looking for people who:
* Are skilled in provision of gardening services (Essential)
* Have a genuine commitment to helping older people retain independence at home
* Are responsible, well organised, and able to prioritise workload effectively
* Demonstrate empathy, respect, and the ability to work with older people and their families/carers
* Understand and comply with confidentiality requirements
* Are reliable, honest, and trustworthy
* Can complete documentation accurately and in a timely manner
* Can work independently with minimal supervision
* Possess excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
* Understand the needs and strengths of older people
* Have a basic knowledge of aged care legislation and responsibilities (e.g. Elder Abuse, Code of Conduct, duty of care)
To be considered for this role you must
* Be prepared to undertake a police background check and a functional assessment (Provided by us)
* Hold a Current SA Drivers Licence
* Have a Current First Aid Certificate (can obtain on job)
