SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone with:
* Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
* Certificate III in Fitness or Group Exercise Leader (GEL) Certification
* Relevant Certification for Group Fitness (Yoga, Pilates, Less Mils etc)
* Strong knowledge and passion for the fitness industry
* Understanding of fitness training methods, exercise principles, and relevant technologies
* Skilled in applying first aid procedure
* Ability to read, understand, follow, and promote safety procedures
* Experience in sales and customer service, ideally within the fitness or retail sectors
* Strong verbal communication and listening skills, with the ability to engage and build rapport with diverse members
* Compassionate, organised, and capable of guiding members in a safe and friendly environment
* Excellent multitasking abilities to manage member interactions and class delivery effectively
* Commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and well-equipped facility
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Deliver high-quality Reformer Pilates classes with professionalism, including setup, pack down, and safe use of equipment
* Role model Viva Leisure values and uphold high standards of behaviour and conduct
* Motivate and support members, ensuring correct technique and fostering strong member relationships to encourage retention and growth
* Collaborate effectively with studio staff and the broader Viva Leisure team
* Maintain compliance with Work Health & Safety policies, reporting hazards and incidents promptly
* Stay current with certifications and adhere to all relevant fitness industry standards and facility procedures
* Promote studio services and assist members with enquiries, escalating issues to the Studio Manager when necessary

That same year, Viva Leisure also acquired a 25% equity stake in World Gym Australia, along with three corporate-owned World Gym locations in Queensland — Stafford, Coomera, and Underwood — further strengthening our presence in the premium fitness sector.
