We specialise in creating and delivering exceptional event experiences that ignite the passion of sports fans around the country. Through our expertise in event management, activations and incentive travel we ensure that our clients achieve deep and enduring connections with their audiences. As part of SEN, Ballpark leverages the multi-platform content and entertainment capabilities of the network to deliver customised, integrated, and localised brand stories across various touchpoints.
About the role and you
The Senior Event Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of Ballpark's event management services within Sports Entertainment Network. This role ensures a seamless and exceptional experience for guests, from event planning to execution. The manager will manage event logistics, coordinate with vendors, manage end-to-end financial functions including invoicing/debtors and monthly reconciliations, and develop strategies to maximise revenue and enhance customer satisfaction. As a hands-on doer, the Senior Event Manager will be actively involved in the planning, coordination, and execution of events, ensuring that every detail is meticulously managed.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management & Delivery
Objectives: Deliver seamless event management projects.
Responsibilities:
* Overall responsibility for the delivery of key event projects, including strategic direction, creative ideation, client updates, budget, and timelines.
* Maintain and assess client fees, project budgets, and billing schedules.
* Oversee the setting and fulfilment of client-related KPIs, including ROI, reporting of hours, and quarterly planning.
Client Management & Delivery
Objectives:
Deliver exceptional event experiences and maintain strong client relationships.
Responsibilities:
* Lead strategy, planning, client check-ins, and broader business integration for multiple event management clients.
* Ensure excellent client service at all times.
* Continuously improve event management and delivery processes, finding efficiencies where possible.
* Innovate and find new ways to add value to clients.
* Monitor client fees and time allocations to ensure profitable client servicing.
Business Development
Objectives:
Assist with new business opportunities from new and existing clients.
Responsibilities:
* Support the CEO & National Sales Manager with new business ideation, strategy, pitch writing, and submission.
* Drive growth of existing clients.
* Participate in broader team upskill and brainstorm sessions to gain maximum exposure to other parts of the business.
* Attend relevant networking functions to promote the Ballpark brand and build personal networks and profiles.
* Stay updated on best practices in marketing, digital, activation, and event examples.

Key requirements:
* 7+ years of experience in leading event programs
* Have experience with Events Air or similar event software
* Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and logistics
* Creative thinker with an eye for detail
* End to end Event Management
* Demonstrated ability to multitask
* Strong communication, time management and organisational skills
* Passionate about delivering outstanding events and creating memorable experiences
* Ability to build and maintain good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
