Description About the Role Good Truck Drivers are a rare resource that keeps our Tasmanian communities connected. Strait Link has a strong respect for this and is offering an exciting full-time permanent opportunity for an experienced HC Driver based out of Bell Bay. Primary Duties & Responsibilities You'll represent Strait Link in a professional manner while picking up freight from customers and delivering to customers in a consistent and timely manner. Ensure all freight is securely loaded, unloaded and lifted/transported in accordance with safety regulations. Adhere to scanning and Proof of Delivery procedures as well as safe and law-abiding driving practices. Understand and respect Strait Link's OH&S policies and procedures, as well as all customer practices when on external sites. Manage and collect all consignment paperwork and/or manifests and notes at pick up points. Ensure freight is packaged in a safe and effective manner. Skills And Experiences About You Excellent communication and customer service skills. Current HC license (manual preferred but not essential). Minimum 2 years of experience in driving a truck. Experience in pick-up and delivery of general and express freight. Experience with radio communications systems preferable. Experience with Load Restraint Systems & Equipment preferable.
