About the role

This permanent full-time position is part of Council's Parks and Recreation Services team, based at Batemans Bay Depot, with work required at various locations across the Shire. The successful candidate will support the Parks Supervisor in preparing, controlling, and monitoring parks projects, ensuring they are delivered safely and efficiently. This includes helping to maintain a well-organised work environment and taking responsibility for managing smaller parks activities.

The starting salary for this position is $2,520.36 per fortnight plus 12% superannuation.

About You

You're an experienced and hands-on team leader who thrives in an outdoor, practical environment. You enjoy planning and delivering parks projects, supporting your team, and ensuring safe, well-organised work across a variety of sites in the Shire.

* Demonstrated ability to supervise work teams and contractors to achieve work program outcomes.
* Certificate III in Horticulture (Parks and Gardens) or equivalent qualification.
* Significant experience in parks or construction environments.
* Proven ability to assist with project planning, monitoring and reporting.
* Strong practical technical skills (e.g. irrigation systems, plant capabilities).
* Willingness and ability to undertake physical labouring tasks.
* Well-developed communication, literacy, numeracy, and computer skills.
