About the Role

As the After Hours Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE), you're the steady, knowledgeable presence nurses turn to outside standard hours. Your role is all about empowering staff with real-time support - whether that's delivering bedside teaching, troubleshooting clinical challenges, or guiding early-career nurses through their next steps. You'll work closely with the after-hours management team, ward-based Clinical Nurse Educators (CNEs), and Nurse Educators to identify learning needs, deliver education sessions, and tailor support to individual staff, strengthening confidence and clinical capability across the hospital.

Each shift, you'll influence practice, uplift teams, and help create a culture where learning is accessible 24/7. It's a role for someone who thrives on connection, mentorship, and making an immediate difference to staff and the patients they care for.

About Us

You'll be joining a team known for its strong sense of collaboration, kindness, and shared commitment to delivering excellent care. We value open communication, celebrate each other's strengths, and support ongoing learning at every level. Our culture is built on teamwork, mutual respect, and a genuine desire to help each other grow - all of which make our workplace positive, welcoming, and focused on providing safe, patient-centred care.

Here, your voice matters, your expertise is valued, and your contribution directly shapes the learning and development of nurses across the Manning campus.

About the Location

Taree offers the best of regional living - relaxed, friendly, and surrounded by nature, yet with all the essentials close at hand. Set along the Manning River, the town is filled with scenic walking tracks, national parks, and peaceful green spaces. Whether it's a café catch-up, a riverside walk after work, or a family-friendly event on the weekend, it's a place where you can settle in and feel at home.

About You

You're the kind of clinician who lifts others up - a natural mentor who enjoys guiding, teaching, and supporting nurses at every stage of their career. You work confidently and independently after hours, staying calm, informed, and approachable, even when things get busy. You bring strong clinical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a genuine passion for helping nurses grow. Most importantly, you're someone who wants to make a real difference in others' careers—an educator who enables, encourages, and inspires.
