Job Opportunity: Female Ranger Coordinator
The Nyamal Rangers Program is seeking an experienced and dedicated individual to fill the position of Female Ranger Coordinator. This role involves coordinating and managing on-ground activities, ensuring all work meets contractual obligations and aligns with the Nyamal Healthy Country Plan.
This coordinator will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of the Nyamal Female Ranger Program. The program aims to support and empower Nyamal women to participate in on-country activities through culturally informed approaches.
Key Responsibilities:
* Establish and deliver the Nyamal Female Ranger Program, driving forward a culture of female participation in on-country activities.
* Work closely with Elders and cultural leaders to ensure activities are culturally appropriate and safe, fostering meaningful relationships and respect.
* Develop training pathways and leadership opportunities for women to excel in ranger careers, empowering them to contribute to conservation efforts.
* Build strategic partnerships and explore new opportunities to enhance the program's impact and visibility.
* Lead planning and execution of on-ground activities, striking a balance between operational efficiency, safety, and adherence to cultural and environmental standards.
* Coordinate field activities including day trips, overnight stays, and multi-day camping excursions to priority areas, promoting immersive experiences.
* Supervise cultural heritage site management, invasive species control, threatened species monitoring, and waterway and habitat assessments, upholding Nyamal protocols.
