The Role
We are looking for chefs of all abilities to join our iconic properties in Western Australia, Northern Territory, and Queensland.
This is an opportunity to showcase your culinary skills and creativity against breathtaking backdrops, inspiring unforgettable experiences for our guests.
The positions available are for Head Chefs, Sous Chefs, Chef de Parties, Cooks, and Kitchenhands.
You will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional meals that reflect the unique spirit of Australia.
* Lead daily kitchen operations and maintain high standards of quality and efficiency.
* Exceed guest expectations by delivering memorable dining experiences.
* Establish food standards for preparation, presentation, and cooking, ensuring compliance with Food Safety guidelines.
* Cultivate a positive work environment that inspires learning and fosters continuous improvement among team members.
* Partner with other departments to elevate the guest experience and accommodate special dietary needs.
* Manage inventory and champion sustainability initiatives.
This is a remote position, requiring you to live and work at one of our properties for the entire season. We provide meals and accommodation.
Please be aware of the unique challenges and limitations associated with long-term remote living.
About You
The ideal candidate will flourish in a fast-paced environment, showcasing creativity and teamwork while igniting a shared love for food.
Requirements:
* Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification.
* Previous experience working in a remote area is an advantage; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are essential.
* Familiarity with food safety practices and holding a Food Safety Supervisor certificate is desirable.
* Remote First Aid and CPR certificate.
* Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
* Proficiency in basic computer skills is beneficial.
