About the RoleSocial Workers at Barwon Health work across diverse health areas including acute, sub‐acute and community‐based program areas at several campuses. As a Social Worker you will require clinical knowledge and skills relevant to working as a clinician in a health setting, and an awareness of the health service environment. Roles are based in a multidisciplinary team setting. Some areas work a 7‐day roster, others Monday‐Friday. All roles can work across the University Hospital Geelong (UHG) campus and the McKellar Inpatient Rehabilitation (IRC) campus.
We are recruiting to a 3‐day per week Grade2 Inpatient Social Work role at The McKellar Centre. The role will be job‐shared across the five‐day working week, working with patients across a variety of presentations including trauma, ortho and general rehabilitation. The successful applicant may be required to work in other areas of the IRC inpatient caseload dependent on need. This is a temporary role due to a secondment but may be extended beyond 6months.
